Good to Know

Product & Materials

What type of wood do you use?
We use premium hardwoods such as walnut, maple, and cherry, selected for durability, beauty, and long-term performance.

Are your cutting boards food safe?
Yes. Every board is finished with food-safe mineral oil and a protective wax blend designed for kitchen use.

What is edge grain?
Edge grain boards are made by aligning wood strips vertically, creating a durable, knife-friendly surface that resists warping and daily wear.

Care & Maintenance

How do I care for my cutting board?
Hand wash only with mild soap and warm water. Dry immediately and regularly treat with mineral oil to maintain the wood’s condition.

Can I put my board in the dishwasher?
No. Dishwashers will damage natural wood by causing warping, cracking, and splitting.

How often should I oil my board?
We recommend oiling once a month or whenever the wood looks dry.

Durability & Use

Can I use both sides of the board?
Yes, unless your board includes a juice groove or feet on one side.

Will knife marks show over time?
Yes, light marks are normal and add character without affecting performance.

Do the boards slip on the counter?
No. Our boards include non-slip rubber feet for stability during use.

Each board is handcrafted in Oregon, USA.
