Board Care & Maintenance

To keep your Pedersen Artisan Board looking beautiful and performing at its best, simple routine care is all it takes. Each board is handcrafted from premium hardwood and finished for durability, but natural wood will continue to respond to its environment over time.

Hand wash your board using warm water and mild dish soap, then dry it immediately with a clean towel. Do not soak the board or place it in the dishwasher, as excess moisture and heat can cause warping or cracking.

To maintain the wood’s rich color and protect its surface, regularly apply food-safe mineral oil. When the board begins to look dry or faded, a fresh coat of oil will restore its natural luster. For added protection, you can occasionally finish with a light layer of board wax.

Store your board in a dry area away from direct heat or prolonged sunlight. With proper care, your board will develop a deeper character over time and remain a reliable part of your kitchen for years to come.
